Baltic Manors Festival

Celebration of the cultural heritage of Baltic Manors

Every year in Summer a few hundreds of the Baltic Manors open their doors …

… to celebrate new life in old places. The Baltic region has the highest density of Manor Houses world-wide. More than ten years ago, the Baltic Manors festival started in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, where it´s called Mittsommer Remise .

Now we expand the Festival from Germany to four more countries, Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Lithuania – and are going to launch the international Baltic Manors Festival.

In 2019 we had already two more countries and region onboard,  Northern Kashubia in Poland with beautiful Manors and Lolland-Falster  in Denmark with a special Exhibition in the Reventlow Museum in Pedestrup.

In 2022 the Baltic Manors Festival will happen in six regions and five countries.  In June the festival starts in Poland with the regions Northern Kashubia at the first weekend and in Parseta River Basin the second weekend in June. The German Festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is at the 18th and 19th of June, followed by the festival in Western Lithuania at 23rd and 24th of June. Southeast Skane in Sweden is celebrating the festival on the 7th of August and Danish region Lolland-Falster on the 21st of August 2022.

Celebrating the manorial heritage in the Baltic Region

The Baltic Manors Festivals honor the heritage of the baltic estates and manor houses. You may visit Baltic Manors, that are used privately, or wich are in the agricultural business, or such as used with touristic or cultural offers. Especially interesting is to visit the houses, that are still ruins, because then you may see the work in progress and the concepts of restauration. You can listend to the visions and stories of the owners and get a glimpse of the history of these buildings.

What to expect…

Classic sounds on an island with a castle in the background, enjoying the evening sun while strolling through a picturesque parks, conversations with manor owners over a glass of wine by the campfire, enthusiasm on guided tours through old and new walls. You will experience this and much more when we celebrate an enchanting weekend to the countryside.
